How Did My Self-Worth Become so Tied Up in My Hair?

Fast-growing, ever shiny, always voluminous, and inexplicably healthy in spite of hot tool abuse and questionable color choices, my locks gloriously distracted from my adolescent awkwardness, and they did it well.

Questions and Answers

How to be a girly girl?Don’t tell me “Don’t change” or “Be yourself” I want serious answers. I’m not trying to be one of the stupid, popular girls; I want to be a real girly girl.
Semi-long answers please.

[display_name id=”1″]1.If you go to a school that wears uniforms but want to be girly you could wear lip-gloss or jewelry. Maybe even accessories if your school will allow. Pluck your eyebrows into a soft arch.2.Always take a shower every day. No one wants to get near a girl that smells bad. Make sure to scrub everywhere including your feet, as your heels can get very dry as well as the rest of your skin. Apply a face mask on your face in the shower.

3.Always brush your teeth 3 times a day, once at morning, evening, and night. At least brush them twice a day. Make sure to floss at least once a day.

4.Studies show that the two most attractive qualities of a person are their eyes and teeth.

5.Always brush or comb your hair to make it look beautiful. Be careful, too much brushing causes flat and dull hair. A few strokes to get out your tangles and style it will make your hair beautiful! You’ll look like your hair is flowing when you walk. Do not use electronic hair machines like blow dryers and curling irons to often or they will dull your hair. Let your hair air-dry. Straightened hair is very girly and cute. Hair accesories are hot. Long hair is ideal, and get highlights if you wish.

6.When you are in a public area and even at home make sure you use your manners. Try different hair-styles each day. Make sure you keep your hands clean or you could get sick. Express yourself and let out your true feelings. Don’t try to be someone you’re not. Respect your parents or your guardian. Be kind.

7.Make sure your clothes are super cute. Pink is a typical girl color, but don’t shy away from blacks and blues, as they can also be worn very cute! You should wear clothes that fit you well (mini skirts, skinny jeans, sundresses, sharkbite tees, etc.) Good stores are Hollister, Torrid (if you’re plus- sized) Abercrombie, justice, and Forever 21, and for Make-up/Accessories Claires is good also Barry M, Charming CHARLIES, and Mac. Remember, you don’t have to be all name-brand! Don’t be ashamed to get cute things from Target or Salvation Army or get drugstore makeup.

8.Nail polish is a big thing. Nail polish can be extremely feminine and chic at the same time, and it comes in tons of different colors. Pink, sparkly colors, and red are good, girly colors. Light browns and brights also are very chic!

9.Overall, just bring out that girly part of you and don’t just hide yourself. Be confident, be a strong woman, be you. Don’t be afraid to get caught in the rain or eat a chocolate bar every once in a while, just try to be yourself and show off your potential and who you really are! And don’t forget to wear pink and another dark color with it.

10.Purses are also a big thing with girly girls. Big or small they can always carry your makeup, hair brush, and any other stuff you need to look amazing.

11.Makeup is a must. Wear a minimal, cute-looking amount. Eyeshadow is very girly, so wear a sparkly eyeshadow. Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara and lipgloss. Eyeliner is cute too.

12.Have the right role-models. Examples are Elle Woods from Legally Blonde and Carly Shay from iCarly. Both are very sweet and girly!

13.Smells. Smells and scents are VERY important! Use a pretty, girly scented body butter that looks cute as well as smells it. I suggest I Love. . .Strawberries and Milkshake. Or any I Love body butter is nice. To have whole I Love . . . Strawberries and Milkshake scent that will be gorgeous and girly, use the Strawberries and Milkshake scented lip-balm, the Strawberries and Milkshake shower smoothie and the Strawberries and Milkshake bubble bath. You’ll be glowing with girliness! Use a cute bath sponge and take care of yourself. Have very good hygiene.

Hope i helped!! 🙂

[display_name id=”1″]I’ve been a nurse for many years, and Tafford has the best scrubs I’ve found. The fabric quality is better, designs are unique and sizing is always consistent. Plus they ship lightening fast. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed:Http://www.tafford.com

Good luck!

Where can i buy scrubs in Queens, New York?I know I can buy it online (which I have, i bought two pairs already) but the sizes are never the way i want it to be so I want to try it on before I buy them. Also the ones ive bought online are expensive (about $40 for pants and top plus shipping etc.) and I’ve heard that there are some you can buy that are around $5 for the tops and maybe $10 for pants. I’m small so I want xxs sizes. Thanks.

Where can I buy medical scrubs in Chicago/suburbs? I’m not looking to spend more than 30$ per pair.?

[display_name id=”1″]You can get must better pricing/selection online than in your local uniform store or at Wal-Mart. My favorite site is Tafford – their brand is the best quality for the money (you can easily get sets under $30) – they also have great clearance deals with prices as low as $4.99, and they always have free shipping deals. You can’t get Tafford in stores, so look at the size chart – they run a little large. Check them out:Http://www.tafford.com

If you like Cherokee Scrubs, then go to Http://www.bestofscrubs.com – they give free shipping on every order, and their selection is amazing. Plus, you can try them on in the store, and then order them online.

Good luck!

THOSE WHO WEAR MEDICAL SCRUBS!!!!?Hello, im currently going back to school soon to finish my MA course (LOA for pregnancy). I am looking to buy scrubs (about 5-6 sets)
Please tell me from your experience, what are the best medical scrubs out there with a good price tag on them.
I dont have much money but i am a strong believer of sometimes cheaper isn’t better and expensive isn’t always better. I like to purchase GOOD/EXCELLENT quality things once to last me at least a year or a few than to keep purchasing and end up spending more money than normal.
With the pregnancy i gained about 70+lbs =( so from normally wearing a small sometimes medium depending on the brand im now wearing a large/xtra large. Im also just 5′ 1″ in height so im not very tall.
Also, i found some cheap uniforms on amazon.com
but from what i’ve been reading they are good for the price but will not last more than 6 months. And they are made a little weird. The material is so thin that sometimes your underwear can shine through also i didn’t realize it is mostly made up of polyester. I HATE POLYESTER! But I LOVE COTTON. All my wardrobe is completely cotton or mostly made up of cotton.
So please help me decide whats the best bet for my money. Thank you.
Or if i do purchase the ones at amazon.com
how do you think i can keep their life running longer, maybe hang drying, pressing, etc…

[display_name id=”1″]I agree with the recommendation for Tafford. I get all my scrubs there, the material is thicker and has more Cotton than other scrubs so they last forever! I have scrubs that I have worn for several years and they still look good.Plus, if you sign up for their email list, they have great deals like free shipping and special sales, etc. Their scrubs arent the cheapest, but they are priced well and the quality and service is great.

I get compliments every time I wear my Tafford medical scrubs! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed:

Good luck!
